Embedded Firmware Engineer

The Position:

The Ubiquiti Riga office is looking for a talented and self-driven embedded C++ developer.  We expect you to bring your experience, enthusiasm and creativity wherever you go and put them in the work you do. You should be able to think out of the box when finding solutions to brand new problems and make things work when the solution is not straightforward.

Main tasks:

  • develop and maintain GUI targeted microcontroller firmware
  • implement GUI related linux daemons and drivers


  • work as a part of the global team of firmware, hardware engineers and designers to develop cutting edge networking products and technologies
  • willingness to learn new things on a regular basis

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 3+ years embedded firmware development experience with C++
  • experience working with microcontrollers, build systems and toolchains
  • experience with electronic test and measurement equipment
  • good understanding of real time operating systems
  • experience with all phases of the software development life-cycle
  • knowledge of Git version control system
  • experience with bash shell scripting and Python
  • effective written and verbal communication skills

Experience that is a Major Plus:

  • Experience with STM32 ARM Cortex-M processors
  • Experience with CubeMX, Atollic TrueStudio
  • Experience with emWin, Qt
  • Experience with Linux driver development, OpenWRT
